Centuries have passed, but still, the legend continues. In the island province of Samar, a metropolis that can be compared to New York, California and other major cities of the west is said to be hidden in the forests. Yes, you have read it correctly, hidden from the civilization. A city full of lights, where many rich people live in big houses, abundant in foods and possesses advance technology, but only seen by few. This is the story of Biringan City, the mysterious invisible city of the Philippines.
Rumors say that while you travel between the towns Tarangan, Pagsanghan and Gandara, there is a chance that you could be teleported to a luxurious city and that is Biringan. Chances are low as the locals says that only the "chosen ones" could go there. Even the residents of this area are having a hard time locating the said city. As the stories told, it is INVISIBLE and cannot be seen by naked eyes. Is this true? How come?
There numerous witnesses claiming that they have been to the city. Fishermen reported that they have seen the glimmering lights of the city on moonless nights for a few minutes. Their description about the city was amazing, high-rise structures, similar to those in the US equipped with highly advanced technology. Based on the stories of local people, those who have seen the city have been later possessed by demons and other malicious entities. It is also said that Biringan city is home of what they call "ENGKANTOS". These are the spirits who has the ability to transform or appear to us in human forms.
People says that to get into the city, there are portals that were hidden on large trees around the area. Once you get there, you will be surprise to see an amazing city like you have never seen before. But there is a warning, never accept any food specially the black colored ones because once you eat that you will never be able to go back to our world and you will not be seen again.
There were reports of satellite images from a Japanese company that allegedly show brightly lit tracts of lands in the region, which led the Japanese to believe that there are rich deposits of gold and uranium in the suspected area. They began work immediately, setting up a big work site in the town of San Jorge, but mysterious accidents and mishaps plagued the project from the start forcing the Japanese company to shut down operation and abandon the project completely in an effort to avoid bankruptcy and cut their losses.
